Default 110 plugged into 220

I had an electrician hook up my 30 amp box at a my house and he wired it for 220 instead of 110. has anyone had this experience?

Sounds like you need to check all breakers then you will probably need some major repairs on appliances.

Have him back, it won't cost much to drop the second phase. It's a matter of disconnection of a second wire set (I believe).

I wouldn't go plugging anything into it though.
